When Texas Brew offered me some salsas to try, I happily accepted, because who doesn’t like salsa? The salsas came with a booklet of recipes to try, which had the usual salsa dishes, like pulled pork and dips. When I came to the desserts in the booklet, I was intrigued. Peach cobbler with salsa? Spicy apple cake? Intriguing, no?
I decided to try out the chipotle brownies first. It sounded easy enough, and I liked the idea of spicy chocolate.
Verdict: The flavor is light, with a hint of chipotle to it. The espresso makes it light, and the honey salsa balances out the chipotle. I’ll probably try out some other flavors of salsa too, to see the difference.
