A Little Herb Garden

Who doesn’t love fresh herbs and vegetables? Weird people maybe. Communists. I love them. But it seems like whenever we plant some, our dogs Buster and Tuck (aka Chicken and Dumpling) come along and eat them. Silly dogs.

So John built some planters about 3 feet high, where the dogs can’t get to them. They’re pretty heavy too, so they can’t tip them over.

John planted parsley, chives, basil, peppers, and tomatoes. One of the tomato plant has some tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny tomatoes growing on it, so I’ll post more as they grow.

  1. Precious! Wish I had some outdoor space to plant herbs.

  2. Looks awesome – my herb plants are teeny-tiny right now, but my tomatoes are doing well!

  3. Love it! Fresh herbs are the bestest. We have basil, cilantro, rosemary, chives and oregano. Use them all the time. And the more you use, the more they grow. Love that about them. We also are trying our hand again at a small veggie garden with tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. So far everything is looking good, but as my hubby put it, “They may the most expensive tomato, pepper and eggplant we have ever eaten.” Ha!
